This year's Rice County Relay for Life is tomorrow night on the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault.

It's the 25th anniversary of the Relay and there are four Honorary Chairs for the event. An Honorary Chair is a cancer survivor that typically tells their story of survival during the event.

Two of the Honorary Chairs will speak at the opening ceremony at 6PM and two will speak during the Luminary Lighting Service at 8:30PM.

The Honorary Chairs are Beckie Chappuis VonRuden, John Milewski, Brian Homeier and Jan Balata. VonRuden and Milewski have confirmed their appearance on today's AM Minnesota at 9:30AM. Homeier was unsure if he could make it, and I was unable to connect with Balata.

Each year I am amazed and inspired by these people and it keeps me volunteering each year for the Relay event.

If you can't tune in this morning go to www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio and watch the program at a more convenient time. The program is typically uploaded by mid-afternoon.
