If you have a deep interest in Rice County history and enjoy sharing what you know with others, the Rice County Historical Society is looking for you.

Spring is school tour season at the Rice County History Museum, and they need volunteers to guide the students through exhibits, including the main museum, the log cabin, the one-room schoolhouse, the rural church, and Harvest and Heritage halls. The RCHS also appreciates any volunteers willing to help out at the Alexander Faribault House. All volunteers will receive training and information before giving tours.

If you enjoy children of all ages, and want to help share the rich details of Rice County's history, call (507) 332-2121 to volunteer.

The Historical Society also wants to remind teachers and homeschool parents interested in bringing students on a tour to book soon. Slots fill quickly.
