Rice County Fair Talk On AM Minnesota

Rice County Executive Secretary John Dvorak was on AM Minnesota today. Next week at this time we will be out at the Rice County Fair. Remember the Rice County Fair Queen Coronation is next Tuesday, July 19, at 7PM. Also on the program was Kathy Cap, who helps coordinate the Fair Queen program. Kathy said we have six contestants this year. Our sister station, Power 96, will be live-streaming the coronation on Facebook.

They are Courtney Albers, daughter of Lee and Jillene Albers of Faribault; Michelle Hohrman, daughter of Christina Hohrman and the late Brad Hohrman of Northfield; Miranda Leann Pautzke, daughter of Curt Pautzke of Faribault; Emily Marie Reuvers, daughter of Gary and Gloria Duban-Reuvers of Faribault;  Tara Van Thomme, daughter of Wayne and Rosie Van Thomme of Faribault and Lexi Wetzel 17, Daughter of Mike and Lisa Wetzel of Faribault.

Rice County 4-H Coordinator Kelly Chadwick was also a guest on Fair Talk today. County fairs would not be the same without 4-H members exhibiting at the fair and helping out. One of their major fundraisers of the year is the 4-H Food Stand. If you would like to sit down and relax for a bit while you are at the fair and enjoy great food plus support the 4-H, visit their food stand. Also, while you are at the fair, talk with 4-H members about their projects they brought to the fair!
