KDHL Radio will be live streaming video of the Rice County Fair Queen Coronation on the KDHL YouTube channel.

I will be the Master of Ceremonies for the event and always look forward to taking the stage with some outstanding young women.

This year six young ladies are competing for the honor to represent the Rice County Fair throughout southern Minnesota.

They include, listed alphabetically:

  • Natasha Devries, 19, daughter of Kim and Connie Devries of Faribault. Her sponsor is RC Superstore. Her escort will be Kim Devries.
  • Gretchen Hohrman, 16, daughter of Christina Hohrman and the late Brad Hohrman of Northfield. Her sponsor is Kreft's Twin Oaks Rabbitry. Her escort will be Cliff Kreft.
  • Madison Jenrich, 16, daughter of Larisa and Ryan Jenrich of Northfield. Her sponsor is C&S Properties. Her escort is Scott Hamblin.
  • Jenna McCarthy, 16, daughter of Emily and Robert McCarthy of Kenyon. Her sponsor is Flom Disposal. Her escort will be Kyle Flom.
  • Emily Nelson, 17, daughter of Lynn and Rick Nelson of Faribault. Her sponsor is Morristown American Legion Post #149 Auxiliary. Her escort is Lenora Kuball.
  • Lauren Wieber, 19, daughter of Michelle and Dave Wieber of Northfield. Her sponsor is KDHL Radio. Jerry Groskreutz will be her escort.

The coronation is scheduled to begin at 7PM on the Bruce Sellner Memorial Midway Stage, which is right behind the KDHL/Power 96 Radio fair booth broadcast station.

The contestants are scheduled to be guests at 9:30 Tuesday morning on AM Minnesota thanks to the Pleasant Manor Nursing home and Pleasantview Estates and IBEW Union Local No. 110.
