John Dvorak, executive secretary of the Rice County Fair, will be on today's AM Minnesota program. We will be talking about the 2015 Rice County Fair, which will be here in about two months.

I am sure Dvorak will mention the Minnesota Board of Animal Health's decision to not allow any poultry at county fairs or the Minnesota State Fair. It is too bad that 4-H members will not be allowed to show their poultry projects at the fair but everyone understands the decision.

Also on AM Minnesota today will be Art Madsen. Madsen is in charge of the Rice County Fair and Faribault Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Committee's Hall of Fame Program. This was started a number of years ago to honor and recognize agricultural leaders in Rice County. If you know of someone who should be honored, be sure to get a nomination form from the Rice County Fair web site, the Faribault Chamber of Commerce office or contact Madsen at the Reliance Bank in Faribault. If you cannot listen this morning at 9:30, the program will be posted on our website later today.
