Rice County Fair Next Week

The Rice County Fair kicks off next week on the Fairgrounds in Faribault. Some of the open class exhibits come in Monday but the fair really begins late Tuesday afternoon with the Flag Raising and then the Rice County Fair Queen Coronation that night. Last evening I drove home through the fairgrounds and you could see the fair will soon be here. The fairgrounds and buildings were all spruced up, benches and flower planters were out and even the Divine Mercy bingo stand had chairs in it.

So far at least it looks like the weather is going to cooperate. The long range forecast is calling for sunshine and highs in the low 80's both Tuesday and Wednesday. As each day goes by we will see more activity as exhibitors, food stands and carnival move in. Our KDHL booth will be in the same place again this year across the street from the Cardinal Café next to the Exhibit Building. When you are at the Rice County Fair be sure you stop by and say hi!
