Rice County Attorney John Fossum will be on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30AM.

Recently I was eating lunch at Bashers when someone next to me at the bar noted his bank account had been hacked twice in the past week. He said someone purchased an item for more than $400 that neither he or his wife would buy. Another item for approximately $90 was also purchased. He noted they check their bank statements very frequently and refrain from purchasing anything online.

We will talk about holiday scams with the county attorney.

Keeping in mind the County Attorney and his staff are not permitted to represent or provide legal advice to private citizens, he should be able to give us some tips on what to do in the event your account is hacked.

I'm going to take a wild guess that cyber crimes are growing locally because that is the trend nationwide.

If you can't tune in at 9:30 this morning, go to www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio and watch at a more convenient time.
