Rice County 4-H Livestock Auction Saturday Morning

The annual Rice County 4-H Livestock Auction will be Saturday morning on the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault. A complimentary buyers breakfast will be served in the 4-H building at 8AM. The auction will begin about 9:15 in the Livestock Show arena. For those who have never been a bidder at the auction, instructions will be given as to how the auction works. This is the major fundraiser for the Rice County 4-H program.

At the Rice County 4-H Livestock Auction, each 4-H livestock exhibitor will receive a set premium or portion of the auction bid. The balance will go to the Rice County 4-H Foundation. The Foundation Board, consisting of adults, University of Minnesota Extension staff and 4-H members, will set a budget that determines how this money will be spent. It is used to pay for State Fair trips, leadership camps and other programs. Hope to see you Saturday morning a the auction showing your support for the 4-H program in Rice County.
