Mark your calendars for the annual Rice and Steele County Crops Day on Tuesday February 26, 2019. Again this year KDHL and our sister station KRFO in Owatonna teamed up with the University of Minnesota Extension Service and the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council to put on the program.

This year Rice and Steele County Crops Day will be held in the Steele County Community Center on the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna. It will begin at 9:00 am and wrap up at 2:00 pm. CashWise Foods in Owatonna will be catering the lunch. The program is free thanks to the sponsors and you do not have to pre-register.

University of Minnesota Extension Crops Educators Ryan Miller and Lisa Behnken will be discussing Crop Budgets, Understanding Ag Research, Fungicides, Soil Fertility, Soybean Aphid Management, Seed and Technology Traits and Best Management Practices for Clean Seed.

University of Minnesota Extension Crops Educator Brad Carlson will talk about the latest research on Variable Rate Nitrogen and Finally Gordon Kralovetz with Chiodo Commodities will talk about the Market Outlook for 2019. I hope to see you there!
