Rice and Goodhue County Dairy Princess Banquet

The Rice and Goodhue County American Dairy Associations will be hosting their Dairy Banquets on Saturday evening in Faribault and Zumbrota. The Rice County Dairy Banquet will be at the KC Hall in Faribault starting at 7PM. Tickets are available for $14. The Goodhue County Dairy Banquet will also be Saturday evening starting at 7:30PM at the VFW in Zumbrota. Goodhue County will crown their Dairy Princess while Rice County recognize their Dairy Princes, Dairy Maids and Dairy Ambassadors.

In the past I have emceed the Goodhue County banquet, and for many years I have emceed the Rice County banquet. It is always an honor to be asked. Being a former dairy farmer, I still have a passion for the dairy industry. It is fun to interview and work with the Dairy Princess, Dairy Maids and Dairy Ambassadors. By the way, Dairy Maids are young ladies not old enough to be a Dairy Princess. Dairy Ambassadors are guys of all ages that want to help promote the Dairy Industry. County Dairy Princess can go on and compete for the title of Princess Kay of the Milky Way. That coronation kicks off the Minnesota State Fair.
