Reliance Bank in Faribault Selling Pink Pumpkins for Cancer Research

Monday morning my pink pumpkin was delivered to KDHL studios. The Reliance Bank in Faribault sponsors the Birthday Club every Monday. Todd Markman, president of Reliance Bank, mentioned that again this year the staff at Reliance Bank had painted pumpkins pink and they were for sale for $10. This is a fundraiser for cancer research. All the proceeds will go to the cancer center at District One Hospital in Faribault.

For some reason, I am not sure why, many people think I am cheap. I prefer frugal. I told Todd on the Birthday Club that I would buy a pink pumpkin if it was autographed by Todd and Art Madsen. Art is the Ag Loan Officer at Reliance Bank. As you can see in the picture, they took me up on the offer of buying an autographed pink pumpkin. Yes, I did pay for my special pink pumpkin! Cancer is a terrible disease that takes the life of young and old. If we all do our part to fund more research, maybe we can continue to develop better treatments for cancer.
