After this morning's storms it looks like the rest of the day will be sunny and a little breezy for a while. Humidity and heat indexes will climb this afternoon. It will make it feel like the temperature is in the 90s.

Severe storms went through the southern part of the state. Severe thunderstorm warnings were out for Faribault, Freeborn, Waseca and Steele counties. There was a tornado warning out for a small portion of that area as well. No word yet whether there was an actual touchdown or damage.

Saturday looks to be sunny with a high of 87. Saturday night and Sunday there is a chance of rain. Temperatures will dip to 60s on Saturday night and rebound to the upper 80s for Sunday, so it should be pretty good weather for the rest of the Rice County Fair.

The Great Rice County Fair. We'll see you there!
