The only team remaining from Regions 3, 4 and 5 in the Class C Minnesota Amateur Baseball Tournament is Prior Lake after the second weekend.

In Class B, the Miesville Mudhens are in the winner's bracket along with Shakopee, meaning they are the only remaining unbeaten teams in the tournament.

Miesville defeated Chaska 11-2 on Friday night in Hutchinson and Brian Sprout had another terrific game. The Lake City native and St. Olaf star cranked out three more hits and three RBI to lead the Mudhens' 17-hit onslaught.

Six batters had multiple-hit games for Miesville.

Miesville then blanked Beaudreau's of St. Cloud 4-0 on Saturday and, yes, Brian Sprout had three more hits as the Mudhens collected 11 total. Jacob Dickmeyer threw a complete game and allowed five hits while striking out six and walking one.

Shakopee defeated Austin 5-4 Saturday in walk-off fashion.

Former Triton Cobra star Logan Spitzack was brought in the game in the ninth hoping to get a save but took the loss.

Austin will play Moorhead in the loser's bracket Friday at 5PM in Hutchinson and the winner plays at 7:30PM against Beaudreau's.

Shakopee then defeated St. Michael 6-4 Saturday to set up a winner's bracket game against Miesville on Saturday in Litchfield at 1:30PM.

Prior Lake's next opponent will be the state champs from 2014, Sobieski. They play at 11AM Saturday in Hutchinson and Faribault Laker ace Matt  Lane could be on the hill for the Mudcats.

Prior Lake nipped Loretto 2-1 with Ben Morrison on the hill for the win. Draftee Derek Bergstrom of New Market earned a save. Morrison threw eight innings of shutout ball. He struck out four and walked two while allowing seven hits.
