Just two of the six State title games scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend at U.S. Bank Stadium will feature the top two ranked teams in their class.

In Class 3A unbeaten and top ranked St. Croix Lutheran will play unbeaten and #2 rated Pierz at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

The 6A Championship also features #1 Eden Prairie against #2 Minnetonka.  The Skippers only loss came to the Eagles during the regular season 39-21.

In the State playoffs Minnetonka has given up 27 points in four games and Eden Prairie has allowed 38 points in the same number of contests.  The Eagles have pitched back to back shutouts of Lakeville North and Maple Grove.

The 6A title game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday November 24th.

In Class 5A #3 rated Elk River has amassed 117 points in two State Tournament games and allowed 100 while #8 ranked Owatonna has scored 115 points and given up 62.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure the best defense wins this game.

The game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25th.

The Class A title tilt features a couple of teams with a history of playing in the tournament.  Wabasso was ranked on top in the final coaches poll and Minneota finished 6th in the poll.  Both teams are undefeated.

Minneota has scored 87 points and Wabasso 74 points in the two game.  The Rabbits have allowed 27 while the Vikings have given up 43.

The Class A title game is 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

In Class 2A two time defending State champsand top rated unbeaten Caledonia will play #6 Pipestone Area at 1:00 p.m. Friday.

In Class 4A the title game features #5 Cloquet with an unblemished record this season tangling with #8 Academy of Holy Angels with just one loss.

The game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Friday.

The 9-Man title game will kick off the Prep Bowl at 10:00 a.m. Friday with top rated and undefeated Spring Grove facing #6 rated Nevis.
