A popular Faribault grocery store is planning on closing its doors soon, but for a good reason. The Aldi's store in Faribault posted a sign on its front door earlier this week stating that on June 18th the store will be closed for about a month for a remodel! A quick look at the corporate site backs up the handwritten note.

Social media users comments on the photographed sign on the Facebook page for Concerned Citizens of Faribault, we mixed with some people suggesting customers in the interim go to the Dundas/Northfield store, or make the trek south to Owatonna.

In February of 2017, Aldi announced it was going to spend $1.6 billion in a remodeling initiative across its U.S. store base that will allow it to expand its perishables offering and revitalize its older stores, according to a press release. The grocery chain is going to allocate more space in their stores to the produce, meat, dairy, and bakery departments while also refreshing the appearance of its stores with open ceilings and more natural lighting.
