The Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council has partnered with the Discover Channel's famous "DieselSellerz" to promote biodiesel. They were at Farmfest this August along with one of their monster trucks. The Minnesota Soybean and Research Council is asking all farmers and consumers to pledge their support for higher blends of Biodiesel. This summer all diesel fuel sold in Minnesota was a blend of 10 percent biodiesel. Next summer the blend increases to 20 percent.

You can go to the Minnesota Soybean and Research Council web site and go to a link to pledge your support for biodiesel and have a chance to win many prizes. On January 24, 2018, 25 lucky winners and their guests will get to sit down with the stars of Discovery's "Diesel Brothers." There will be many other prizes awarded including signed "DieselSellerz" gear.

Biodiesel is made from soybean oil. The soybeans are grown in Minnesota, plus biodiesel burns much cleaner than petroleum based diesel fuel. In addition the demand for soybeans and soybean oil adds about 63 cents to a bushel of soybeans so it helps out local economy.
