Last Monday, I had a pretty good day and got the chance to get out from work a little early (which does not happen all that often), and went home. Did some dishes, did some laundry, watched some old shows I like, had supper with my son and then ... it hit. All of a sudden I could not get warm, until I got the third blanket on.

My friend brought over a thermometer so I could check my temperature: 102.9. Great! I thought this is it. I've got the flu. I've been going pretty hard, long days, and all that. I thought this is my body saying time out! Gonna shut you down.

I did the usual things I had to do, made arrangements for people to work, and so on. Finally Friday morning, the fever broke.

I was always taught to not run to the doctor for just a little fever. Especially when it's winter in Minnesota. But since I had to get something from my doctor before I could go back to work, I went in and he confirmed what I suspected Wednesday night. I had in infection in the cellulose in my leg. Got the meds and now it's mend my way back. Long-term focus on the day is an issue yet, stamina is an issue. But I am mending more every day. Thanks to those that were concerned.

This week brings basketball in Medford on Tuesday night, and Faribault boys at Mankato West on Friday. More to come on that.

Have a great day!
