Not that many years ago I had old batteries sitting around the farm. I did not know what to do with them, so they just sat around. They would pile up in a hurry when my tractors, combine and truck each had two big batteries in them. Then I heard Faribo Farm and Home was collecting "junk batteries" and giving you $10 in store credit for every battery you brought in. I ended up taking in 12 batteries and got $120 in store credit. Today, just about every business that sells batteries will take your old battery and give you a credit, too. Apparently all the lead and even acid is recycled, meaning it has value. If you have any old batteries still sitting around, bring them to Fairbo Farm and Home before Jan. 31. You will help clean up the environment and get $10 in store credit to buy something you can use. When I brought all mine in, I used my credit to buy an electric impact wrench.
