Of Vikings and Men

There's a lot if discussion on the Adrian Peterson situation. I think the  Vikings handled the situation very well so far. I think pulling him from last Sunday's game until all the facts were in, was the right thing to do. Yes it was painful to watch the game Sunday with the Patriots, but it was the right thing to do.

Yesterday it was announced that he would be back with the team this week. I agree. Yes he made some mistakes, he even admits that. But I am a firm believer in due process. In the mean time let him do his job. Many other people who commit crimes, get to continue to go to their job, while due process is being carried out.

Do I agree with spanking children. Yes. I think a lot of the problems we have with some of the kids now days is because they are not being spanked. Do I think A.P. went to far by using a switch? Yes. I think he has some anger control issues either due to his football career or the way he was raised.

I think as long as he is willing to stop doing it, get help  and take responsibility for what he did if it goes to criminal trial and he is found guilty, then I think he should be allowed to do his job until then. I don't expect all who read this to agree. But I respect your position too.
