A 23-year-old Lakeville man was driving through Big Lake last weekend. He was stopped after a license plate check showed that Austen Mitchell was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for a controlled substance offense.

When police did a search of the vehicle, they found a bag with a green gummy substance, which they found to be a highly purified form of marijuana. About 37 grams worth. According to KSTP, it was field tested and showed to be positive for THC.

Mitchell was arrested and booked into the Sherburne County Jail in Elk River on his outstanding arrest warrant and for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
