Norv Turner resigned as the offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday.

After a 5-0 start, the Vikings have been dismal in their last two outings, where they have scored only 10 points each game. Turner was picked by Mike Zimmer to run the offense. He also brought on former coaches Tony Sparano to run the offensive line and Pat Schurmer as a tight ends coach. Schurmur will be the interim offensive coordinator.

The Vikings are getting ready to host the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Zimmer is expected to discuss this and maybe a little bit about a medical procedure he went through this week at his news conference later on Wednesday.
