Northfield Sits Atop Class 3A Girls Basketball Rankings

The Northfield Raiders are ranked tops in the state in Class 3A in the latest rankings provided by the Minnesota Basketball News for the Associated Press.

Winona is seventh, Kasson-Mantorville drops to ninth and Red Wing is 16th.

In Class 4A, unbeaten Hopkins and Elk River sit at No. 1 and No. 2. Lakeville North is third, Eastview fourth and Apple Valley fifth. Rosemount is 19th.

In Class 2A, defending state champion Plainview-Elgin-Millville is third, Norwood-Young America sixth, Hayfield 11th and New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva 20th.

In Class 1A, Goodhue is still second behind Mountain Iron-Buhl. Mankato Loyola is fifth and Lyle/Pacelli 10th.

Class A volleyball state champ Mayer Lutheran is ranked 18th in Class A girls basketball.
