Northfield Council Races Take Shape

Northfield residents determined who will be running for two seats on the Northfield City Council this fall in voting during Tuesday's primary election.  Four people ran in the member at large race and three people placed their names on the ballot for the Ward one seat.  Moving on for the at large seat will be Rhonda Pownell and Dale Gehring.  Pownell tallied 951 votes and Gehring 452.  The other two in the race were Jon Denison with 193 votes and Neka Sharp received 46.  Squaring off this fall in the Ward 1 race will be Suzie Niskanen with 304 primary votes and Joe Gasior with 132.  Jeremy Bishop collected 80 votes.
