Dr. Chuck Briscoe is the new president and principal at Faribault Bethlehem Academy and will be the guest on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program. The show begins at 9:30AM. I'm looking forward to our visit about education in general and at Bethlehem Academy.

Briscoe comes to Faribault with more than 40 years of experience in education.

He's been principal at a number of schools around the state - Willmar, Stillwater and Rochester to name a few - and most recently was the principal at Hill-Murray High School in St. Paul. The Columbia Heights native attended St. Cloud State University where he played football.

I know he's looking forward to the upcoming school year and hopes to provide some stability at the top for Bethlehem Academy.

BA has a lot to be proud of, he notes, with a 99 percent graduation rate and a student to faculty ratio of 12 to 1. The one-to-one laptop program and classroom iPads are other strengths in assisting students, he cites.

I love Briscoe's passion for our youth. He says, "Every child is a miracle."
