Miranda Lambert played her own set at Soldier Field in Chicago over the weekend, and then returned to the stage to join headliner Kenny Chesney on his hit "You and Tequila." Lambert sings Grace Potter's part on the ballad — fans were enthusiastic to say the least. Video shows that the "Little Red Wagon" singer kind of nailed it.

“Miranda is a fine artist and a world class singer,” Chesney said after. “To be able to sing with her on ‘You and Tequila’ was amazing, because of the grit she brings with the sweet."

"After that, we couldn’t do just one," he added.

Indeed they didn't do just one song together. The reigning Female Vocalist of the Year joined Chesney for George Strait's "Carried Away," as well. This all comes one day after Lambert was part of a surprise show at Joe's Bar in Chi-town. There, her band performed as Permnent Damage with Lambert coming out to sing with Gwen Sebastian and her band. Her cover of No Doubt's "Spiderwebs" was particularly memorable.

Lambert isn't officially touring this summer, but she's keeping plenty busy with festival dates through August. She'll play WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minn. on Aug. 7. This fall she'll begin the Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour with RaeLynn, Clare Dunn and Courtney Cole.
