Bzzz ... There goes that rumor mill again! Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton have been the talk of the town in recent months ... Las Vegas, that is. Word on the street is that the two country superstars were asked to do a million-dollar show in Sin City, but turned it down.

Lambert and Shelton were allegedly going to perform one weekend in Vegas and would receive quite a hefty paycheck for it. TMZ reports that they were offered a million to play at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Vegas for three shows. According to the gossip site, the couple weren't happy with the million dollar paycheck and sent a counteroffer for $1.25 million. That's when AEG, the operator of the arena, backed out.

However, none of that is true.

“AEG and Caesars Entertainment have a wonderful relationship with Blake and Miranda and would love the opportunity to have them perform at any of their venues worldwide," AEG says in a statement (quote via Fox News), "including the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, but the report is not true."

Shelton adds that even if he and his wife were asked to play in Vegas, they wouldn't, because as it stands right now, they're just too busy.

"I won't do that either way -- whether that story's true or not -- because I've got … we have plenty to do," the singer reveals. "At this point in the year, no amount of money is worth not being able to just hang out at home with my wife. So it is true that we're not doing that."

Busy indeed. Collectively, Shelton and Lambert are up for a total of twelve nominations at this year's CMA Awards, including battling one another in the Entertainer of the Year category.
