Yes it's true; it's not a dream. The Minnesota Twins, who finished last year at 70-92, are one game away from being in first place. With a Twins win on Wednesday, and if Kansas City loses, they will get the job done. The Detroit Tigers, who were in first place a couple of weeks ago, are now in third and two games out, and Cleveland and Chicago are both eight games out.

The Twins were in a rain delay until 8:30PM Tuesday and Mike Pelfry was on the mound for the Twins in the 2-1 win. Brian Dozier led off with a double and Trevor Plouffe doubled him home. Kurt Suzuki doubled Plouffe home.

The Minnesota Twins, who were swept by Boston in an earlier series on the road, will try to sweep them on Wednesday. Game time is 11:30AM on KDHL 920 AM and KRFO 1390 AM.
