The Minnesota State Academy for the Blind is 150 years old and they are inviting all of us to help them celebrate with a music program next week.

Thursday, November 17, and Friday, November 18, there will be a music program titled "Weaving Our Past into Our Future." Performances are 1PM Thursday and 10:30AM Friday.

MSAB students will celebrate the history of the school through art, drama, song and dance.

A special choral piece was commissioned for the occasion, written by Dan Kallman, and the Faribault Senior High School Concert Choir will be joining in its premiere.

MSAB teacher Jennifer Pelletier will be a guest at 9:30AM on the KDHL AM Minnesota program and is bringing a student with her to the show. Pelletier is a board-certified music therapist, which should be interesting to discuss.

She tells me she has only been at MSAB for about a year so I don't know how much we can delve into the school's history.

If you can't tune in at 9:30AM, jump to our YouTube channel and watch whenever it's convenient for you.
