The Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council is seeking candidates to serve on the board in districts 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Remember the Soybean Research and Promotion Council is the check-off that all soybean growers pay into. The funds can be used for research, education and promotion. Board members elected will serve a three year term. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture holds the commodity council elections every spring by mail in ballet. The program is overseen and audited by the USDA.

The board of soybean farmer leaders is elected by Minnesota soybean farmers with the primary responsibility of directing how the funds raised from the soybean check-off are invested. Interested candidates need to fill out a candidate certification form and a candidate biography form and email or mail the completed forms to the Minnesota Soybean office no later than January 28, 2019. For more information contact the MSR&PC chair Cole Trebesch at 507-227-3263 or contact the Minnesota Soybean office 888-896-9678.
