Minnesota Pork Congress Today and Wednesday

Today is the first day of Pork Congress 2017 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This is the 50th anniversary of the Minnesota Pork Congress. Show hours are 9AM to 5PM today and 9AM to 1:30PM Wednesday. Minnesota Pork Congress is the Midwest's best swine-specific tradeshow and educational event, and features a variety of show exhibitors, timely seminars and social activities designed specifically for pig farmers and pork industry stakeholders. This is one of my favorite events of the year.

The staff at the Minnesota Pork Producers really make those of us in the media feel welcome. The have a media booth set up right on the trade show floor with phone lines and wireless internet. In addition, seminar speakers, award winners and other guests are brought by the media center for interviews. I know it is a little scary for a small-town country boy like me going to the big city. I even have to pay to park in the ramp. All right, I do put it on the KDHL expense account!
