Minnesota High School Boys Basketball 2015-16 Poll

Defending Class AAAA Champion Apple Valley is tops in the preseason boys high school basketball poll from Minnesota Basketball News.

The rest of the top 10 in Class AAAA are Hopkins, Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, Wayzata, Champlin Park, Tartan, Lakeville North, Rochester John Marshall and Shakopee.

No. 1 in Class AAA is four-time defending champion Minneapolis DeLasalle.

The rest of the Class AAA top 10 are Marshall, Rocori, Mankato East, St. Paul Johnson, Mahtomedi, Northfield, Hermantown, Benilde-St. Margaret's and Minneapolis Patrick Henry.

The top-ranked Class AA team is defending champion Melrose.

Then it's Minnehaha Academy, St. Croix Lutheran, Braham, Caledonia, St. Paul Academy, Esko, Jackson County Central, Lake City and Albany.

The No. 1 Class A team is Minneapolis North.

The remaining top 10 in Class A are Central Minnesota Christian, Battle Lake, Spring Grove, Minnesota Transitions, Rushford-Peterson, Browerville, Heritage Christian, Springfield and Cass Lake-Bena.

Some teams started last weekend, but most teams in the state begin their seasons this week.
