The 88th Minnesota FFA Convention began this afternoon at the University of Minnesota-St. Paul campus. John and I will be there all day Monday, but I always go up Sunday afternoon too. It always seems like there are a few FFA chapters from our area that are not able to stop by the Media Room on Monday for interviews. Monday is a busy day with all the Career Development Events, or judging contests, that advisers need to get their members to.

The theme for the 88th Minnesota FFA Convention is "All In, Our Legacy Starts Now." This is a very large convention, with more than 3,600 FFA members registered. It takes a lot of volunteers to help with all the judging contests, delegate sessions, hotels, food and many other requirements. In addition, the Minnesota FFA Foundation receives financial support from many business to keep the cost affordable for FFA members. Because of that financial support, registration for the FFA Convention is only $18 per member.
