The Minnesota Farmers Union will hold their 76th State Convention beginning this evening with a reception. The convention will be held at the Ramada Plaza located at 1330 Industrial Blvd, NE, Minneapolis, MN. Saturday and Sunday will be filled with policy debate and elections of a President, Vice President and delegates to the National Farmers Union Convention. There is no cost to attend any of the convention proceedings. However, the lunch on Saturday, Sunday and the Saturday evening banquet are ticketed events. Lunch tickets are $15 and the banquet is $30.

The keynote speaker for the banquet Saturday evening will be renowned Minnesota meteorologist Paul Douglas. His speech is titled " A Rapidly Changing Climate: Threat-and Opportunity." One of the lunches will feature the Minnesota gubernatorial candidates and of course there will be the Minnesota Farmers Union PAC reception before the banquet Saturday evening. At the PAC reception candidates running for any office and from any party can have the microphone for 3 minutes to have explain why they should be elected.
