Midwest Dairy is seeking college students with an interest in Dairy to apply to be a dairy ambassador in one of eight state across the Midwest. :The Dairy Ambassador program provides students with leadership opportunities to connect with consumers and share their dairy story while networking with their peers and industry professionals." The Midwest Dairy Ambassador program is available in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, along with North and South Dakota.

Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary school, be able to communicate effectively through speaking and writing and have a passion for dairy. One important point you do not have to be majoring in agriculture. Midwest Dairy Ambassadors will serve a one year term January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019. Some activities would include interacting with consumers at state and county fairs, school presentations, and dairy industry meetings.

The Dairy Ambassador program began a number of years ago in Nebraska. It has since grown to include many surrounding states. Each Dairy Ambassador will receive a $1,000 scholarship at the end of service. For more information or to apply go to MidwestDairy.com.
