The Midwest Dairy Association will be holding a local producer meeting Monday at the American Legion in Montgomery starting at noon. This is for dairy farmers in the counties of Rice, Scott, Dakota and Le Sueur. These district meetings are being held all around Minnesota, hosted by the Dairy Check-off. These meetings are held to keep dairy farmers informed on programs run by the Dairy Check-off on their behalf. If you are a dairy farmer in another county and cannot attend your meeting, you would be welcome at any meeting that fits your schedule.

Barb Liebenstein from Northfield, who was elected to the Midwest Dairy Cooperate Board, will discuss partnerships with McDonald's, Domino's and others, plus promotional programs to increase the demand for dairy products. I have been to many of these meetings as a dairy farmer and as a farm broadcaster. They are always very informative. Yes, the food is always great, too!. By the way they are free to dairy farmers and you do not have to preregister.
