Corn picked up where it left off Friday, closing lower for the fourth day in a row, with losses of 3-4 cents. The USDA reported harvest progress at 59 percent complete, which was up 17 percent in the past week. The USDA also reported export loadings at 459,812 MT, which was an OK number. Great weather has allowed harvest to move along very quickly and hopefully by next week's harvest progress report the bulk of harvest hedge pressure might be over.

It was the fourth day in a row beans closed lower, too. Harvest progress for beans was at 77 percent and bean harvest is now 9 percent ahead of average. Export loadings had another huge number at 2.365 MMT. In addition, the USDA announced a daily sale of 2.365 MMT. Very soon harvest pressure should over. Bean planting has gotten underway in South America at 13 percent planted, with normal at 18 percent harvested.
