Main Street Featured on AM Minnesota 4-2-2014

The Faribault Main Street program stopped by for their monthly visit today on AM Minnesota.  Listen and find out what's happening in Faribault's downtown. We touched on the flower basket program.  For the past few years citizens have donated to the program so flowers can be purchased and hung up around town to brighten up the community.  Main Street started the program when the city took a steep cut in local government aid from the state legislature and didn't feel it was appropriate to allocate for the flowers.  It's been very successful thanks to Faribault citizens stepping up and donating their hard earned dollars.
