I spent a lot of my life in this barn. My Dad built it in about 1955. The milking parlor was in it along with a treatment stall and also maternity pens. It has not been used since I sold the herd in 1995. It is difficult to put money in a barn that no longer has a use. It needed paint and shingles. It is sad when a barn like this falls down. So, this week a contractor is coming to knock it down and haul it to the land fill. My Dad who is 87 years old said "I built this barn and maybe I should see to it that it is taken down before I am gone." I wanted to make sure I had a picture of it, not that I could forget what it looked like.
