It was 8 days ago I got back from the Farm Broadcasters Convention. I always rent my cousin Chad's big John Deere tractor and ripper to rip my corn stalks. So, I called Chad to see if it would work or if it was frozen too hard. Chad said he had been working on my corn stalks for a couple days. He knew it ws going to get cold so he just started ripping my corn stalks when I was in Kansas City'

Last Friday afternoon Chad said don't bother comming out because he was going to have to quit because the frost was getting too deep. That was on November 9th so I was quite confident it would warm up and thaw the frost in the ground. Here it is 9 days later and the low last night was in single didgits! The calander now says November 18th and I am begining to "lose the faith."
