Country up-and-comer Logan Mize has an new single 'Can't Get Away From a Good Time.' It's as catchy as a pop song, with a definite country vibe, and it came together with two other writers and a fifth of Jack Daniels.

Mize elaborates, saying "One of my writers -- I  won't say which one -- showed up with a fifth of Jack Daniels, poured it in their coffee, and looked at me and said, 'I don't know what to tell you. I just can't get away from a good time.'"

That was all it took for Mize to realize that phrase had the makings of a country hit. "I was like, 'Boom, that's it,'" he recalls. "We started writin' it and we were laughing hysterically the entire day." Whether the laughs were instigated by the lyrics or the whiskey, we may never know -- but it certainly sounds like the fun song was born from a party -- maybe too much of a party?

"I think we wrote the song in an hour, but we sat around for another three to four hours and came up with alternate verses for the song that will never make the radio edit."

The country rocker's new song hits Sirius XM on May 27, with a full-length album coming this fall. The video will also debut on Taste of Country on May 27.

Mize just wrapped up his 2014 Workin' and Drinkin' Tour, and we can't wait to hear what the Kansas native has up his sleeve. Whatever it is, it probably comes with a little Jack Daniels.
