Rice County Public Health and The Villages of Lonsdale are teaming up to offer Living Well with Chronic Conditions in Lonsdale

Rice County Public health says these evidence based programs help people with chronic conditions live healthier and fuller lives. The six week workshop series helps people feel better, be in control, and do the things they want to do.  Sign-up deadline is February 28th.

Together with other attendees, class participants will learn and practice ways to improve how they take care of themselves and enjoy life.  Discussion areas include: self-management skills, practical ways to cope with pain and fatigue, better nutrition and exercise choices, new treatment options, and methods for speaking with a health care provider or family member about health.

Participants meet for 2 ½ hours once a week for six weeks. Classes begin Thursday, March 1st, and will be held March 1st through April 5th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Villages of Lonsdale, 1000 Birch St NE, Lonsdale, MN 55046.

These classes are grant funded at no cost to participants and open to the public, but pre-registration is required by Wednesday, February 28th.  Please call Rice County Public Health at (507) 332-6111 or WellConnect at (507) 251-3835 to register OR register online at www.WellConnectSEMN.org.
