Little Theatre of Owatonna presents Mel Brooks comedy "The Producers." The play runs June 18-27 at the West Hills Auditorium.

"The Producers," created by Mel Brooks, tells the story of a tough-luck Broadway producer who figures producing a flop could bring in big money. So he sets out to hire the worst director and actors he can find. For the Owatonna production, Erik Eitrheim plays the role of Max. Patrick McColley will be Leo. Betsy Cole performs as Ulla. Brooks wrote the story in the 1960s and won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay as the film's director. In 2001 the musical won a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards.

Ticket sales begin at the Little Theatre of Owatonna on Monday, June 15. Box office hours are Monday through Thursday 4-6:30PM on non-performance nights. On performance nights the box office opens at 4PM Thursday and Friday, 5:30PM on Saturday and 12:30PM on Sunday. Adults are $14 and students are $10. The box office phone number is 451-0764.
