Only 1-2 inches of snow are expected in the Faribault area today. There is still a blizzard warning out for places such as Owatonna and Mankato to the south and east. As the snow moves through, the winds are expected to pick up and blow what we do get around.

A winter weather advisory is out for areas to the east of I-35 and to the north.

Just be sure to slow down and drive carefully. And remember to turn your headlights on. It's the law if it is snowing. It's so others can see you, especially in areas of poor visibility. The good news is that a warm-up is coming later in the week, and this may be the last of the below-zero temperatures for the season.
