Faribault Parks and Recreation Director Paul Penansky will give us an update on the flooding in Teepee Tonka Park during AM Minnesota today.

Even though the park seems to experience some flooding every other year, Penansky has not been too confident about moving the ball fields to higher ground.

The city has made the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency multiple times over the years and the answer has always been no funding to move, only replace where they are.

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar was in Faribault on Sunday and was taken to the Water Plant and the Faribault Woolen Mill.

Faribault Emergency Management Director Dusty Dienst told KDHL time constraints didn't allow them to take here to Teepee Tonka .

I suggested the city send the Teepee Tonka flooding video Troy Temple of TLT Video Productions did for us on our website to our congressional delegation so they can show it to FEMA officials.

It's an awesome look panning around the entire park that shows just how much water was in there and levels were not a record. You can still see the video.

If you can't tune in at 9:30AM today you can always watch at your convenience on our YouTube channel.
