Komets Play #2 Seed Fergus Falls

The Kasson-Mantorville Komets will play the #2 Seed Otters of Fergus Falls in the first round of the Class 3A Girls State Basketball Tournament this week.  They square off 10 Am Wednesday at Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.  Other Class 3A games have top seed Park Center (23-5) facing Simley (22-7) at 6pm Tuesday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis.  #4 seed Minneapolis Washburn (24-6) goes up against #5 seed Monticello (22-6).  Noon on Wednesday #3 seed Marshall (27-2) will tangle with Chisago Lakes Area (22-6).  If the Komets survive they would play 2pm Thursday at Williams Arena against the Marshall/Chisago Lakes winner.  The Championship game is 6pm Saturday at Williams.  The Otters have just one loss on the season. The Komets are 25-5.
