The Faribault Falcons led the Kasson-Mantorville Komets Tuesday night 7 minutes into the game and trailed by just 8 at the half.  The problem is, there are 36 minutes in a high school basketball game.  Kasson-Mantorville turned the ball over 11 times in the first half and the Falcons tallied 16 miscues with the Komets leading 31-23.  For the first six minutes of the second half, K-M's 5'3 Junior Cori Kennedy took over the game. Connecting on three 3's and 14 points in that stretch.  Kennedy finished the game with 20 points and 6'2 Freshman post Kristen Scott added 15 points in limited action to ignite the Komet attack.  The final was K-M 69 Faribault 44.  The Falcons  were led by Senior Cecelia Hake's 15 points and Sophmore Ellery Akemann added 14.  The Komets are now 21-5 and have the top seed in section one class 3a all locked up.  Faribault fell to 4-21 a night after gaining their first conference win in four seasons with a defeat of Austin Monday night in Faribault.  Kasson-Mantorville wraps up their regular season at Stewartville Thursday night while the Falcons end their regular season at Rochester John Marshall Friday.
