The Medford Tiger fans were wanting to see a rematch of the teams that battled for the playoff spot last fall. They got a good game.

The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knight offense struggled a bit in the first half but The Knights used a six-play drive and set up a 28-yard touchdown run by Tyler Ryan less than 2 minutes remaining , aand held the Tigers off to get a 27-26 victory in Medford Friday night.

Tyler Ryan had 123 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Logan Quam had eight yards on six carries, and punched in a  touchdown with 14 second remaining in the half to tie the game at 13.

Jack Beulke completed 10 of 21 passes for 177 yards and was intercepted once. Ryan hauled in four catches for 87 yards, Cole Johnson had four receptions for 74 yards and Tate Erlandson caught two balls for 16 yards.

Javis VonRuden, Willie VonRuden and Jerone Chavis and Bo noble moved the ball well for the Tigers.

Kenyon -Wanamigo faces the 2-0 Goodhue Wildcats next week and Medford travels to Faribault and Bruce Smith Field for the Battle for the Paddle. Coverage on KDHL on Friday night at 6:45pm.
