It's about a two hour drive from Blue Earth to Kenyon and Thursday night the 8th seeded Buccaneers of Blue Earth Area made the trip and less than an hour later made it again.  The South Subsection Section Two Class 2A Knights cruised to a sweep with scores of 25-12..25-4 and 25-11.  Everyone got to play for the Knights in the ho-hum affair.  Our Sviggum Insurance Agency Knights of the match were the three senior players Brittany Flom, Megan Quam and Emily Ashland.  The three played their final high school match in The Castle.  Kenyon-Wanamingo is now 26-5 and will play the Tri-City United Titans on Tuesday in Semi-Final action at Mankato East High School at 6pm.  All matches in the South were sweeps with Waterville-Elysian-Morritown and St. Peter advancing to the other South semi-final Tuesday.  Their match will be a half hour after the conclusion of the previous match.  In North Subsection play Thursday night Belle Plaine blanked Watertown Mayer 3-0, Glencoe-Silver Lake swept Holy Family of Waconia, Sibley East swept Leseuer-Henderson and Jordan beat Norwood-Young America in three sets.  On an interesting side note.  Before the match Thursday night the Blue Earth bus driver came to visit me at my new perch at the top of the bleachers behind the scorer's table and said she hear I had some duct tape.  Indeed.  I didn't ask her why she needed it, but she volunteered the information.  She hit a bridge near Medford with the bus and there was a hole in the top of the bus that needed to be repaired and the tape would come in handy until they get home.  Anybody know what bridge she's talking about ?
