In the Class 2A State Girls Basketball Tournament the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights got the anticipated #2 seed.  Unbeaten defending State Champion New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva is the top seed, third is New London-Spicer, fourth Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted and Minnehaha Academy is fifth.  The Knights first round opponent will be the 19-9 Redwood Valley.  K-W's only loss this season was to NRHEG in the Panther gym in January.  They play 6pm Wednesday night at Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.  The game will be on POWER 96 Radio 95.9Fm and available online at power96radio.com.  You can also listen on your favorite mobile device by downloading the free Townsquare Media app Radio Pup.  The top seed Panthers face 23-6 Pequot Lakes in the first round at 2 on Wednesday afternoon.  At 4pm it's the 4 and 5 seeds, then the K-W game and at 8pm New London-Spicer plays Esko.  If the Knights win they would play at 8Pm on Friday night in Williams Arena.  The Championship game is 2pm Saturday at Williams.
