The Kenyon Wanamingo Knight girls basketball squad came out Thursday night looking like a team on a mission.  The state's number 2 rated Class 2A team went up 18-0 before you could blink almost and their swarming defense produced 15 first half Triton turnovers in a 65-32 win.  K-W led 47-11 at the half.  The starters didn't even play that many minutes.  They had the bulk of their points in that impressive first half.  Senior Siri Sviggum led all players with 17 points and Juniors Brittney Flom and Megan Quam added 12 points each.  Triton was led by Seniors Emily Hodgman with 8 and Haley Staffon with 7 points.  The Cobras finished their season with a 4-20 record.  The 25-1 Knights and Cobras both had everyone play significant minutes in the game.  The Held Bus Service Knights of the game were Seniors Maddie Anfinson and Kailee Berquam.  Berquam didn't score but had a couple of very sweet dishes and Anfinson tallied 4 points in the contest and had a few rebounds.  K-W advanced to the semi-finals of the West Sub-Section of Section One Class A and will play Pine Island Monday night in the Rochester Mayo Civic Arena at 6pm.  Pine Island survived a 32-31 contest at Rochester Lourdes.  The other side of the bracket had number two seed Hayfield beat Cannon Falls 75-36 and third seeded Dover-Eyota downed Zumbrota Mazeppa 56-43.  Those two teams will collide at 7:30 Monday night in the Arena.
